Work-life balance significantly impacts employee satisfaction. It enhances well-being, reduces stress, and increases job satisfaction, leading to improved performance and organizational success. Hybrid work “works”!! Trust your employees to get the job done from wherever they are working. Some people prefer going into the office everyday and that’s great; others prefer hybrid working arrangements while some prefer fully remote. Depending upon the roles and responsibilities of the position set clesr expectations and let them get the job done you hired them to do!

Fully agree. Hybrid and remote works, but some leaders lack the best practices to understand how to make it work, and if something is not working it can turn into an attempt to "go back to the old ways." The problem is those ways are gone and even if they were forced back in any way, people don't want them.. and people won't stay in a place where they don't get what they want/need.

Reposting because I think this is incredibly valuable and should be studied further. We are in a new, unprecedented time, and it's time to think differently about work, about culture, about the work/life balance we ask of ourselves and each other every single day. "In the office" environments were built based on models that pre-date today's lifestyle and household requirements: both parents working more than 40 hours per week, kids having more extracurricular activities than there is time in the day, family pets needing a family versus a kennel. Aging parents who need help and support.Covid proved to us that working from home can be incredibly valuable and beneficial for both the employer and employee (for the post part), productivity soared, people learned how to stay connected, etc. But corporations also learned that they are paying hefty real estate costs on empty buildings. As a leader in employee morale, and employee engagement, being together with my co-workers is super important to me. I miss their faces, I miss the water cooler talk, I miss happy hour. I miss hearing their laugh, seeing their smile. How can we define the future of the working culture that accommodates both needs of the employer and employee? Is there a way that we can work from home and go in the office as needed, as determined by us and our teams when we need to regroup, etc.? What can "Flex Time" and "Flex Working" be molded into looking like that accommodates soccer games, and eating dinner together as a family? We need to think forward not backwards.

🏡 Hybrid // Agile // Home working 🏡I am seeing more posts hitting my feed about this, it’s becoming a hot topic. In fundraising I have always worked in an environment which means that on a day to day basis I could be in different locations. In fact many times I am in several locations on one day. As a regional fundraiser our job is to be out in our regions, that’s how we get results. As a leader of regional teams who are often spread over the country I am experienced in creating brilliant relationships, building trust and keeping momentum going amongst the regional fundraisers who all work in remote and virtual locations - without the need for them to be sat side by side inside an office three days a week. It can be done. Covid brought us some truly dreadful things, but it also brought us the chance to be innovative; the chance to respond to crisis adapt and flourish. For many people working from home it changed their lives. It enhanced their wellbeing and the wellbeing of their families. It removed the pressure for some who had caring responsibilities. It gave opportunities to those with neurodiversity to flourish by being able to give all their focus to their role as opposed to using energy just to get through the day in an office environment that over stimulated them. For employers the opportunity to recruit the most brilliant people for a role regardless of where they lived became a reality. The whole world becoming comfortable with zoom and teams calls made it easy to work with people who were hundreds of miles from a head office. Previously we only ever FaceTimed our friends , now a video call with colleagues is second nature So what has changed? What is shifting in the minds of those who want us to return to the way of working that many were in pre Covid? What have we suddenly become afraid of? Why is the time up? Is it because we feel we should return to ‘normal now?’ This should be our new normal People first Let me know your thoughts #fundraising#hybrid#hybridworking#agileworking#agile#workfromhome#postcovid#covid

This is exactly why employees are seeking out companies that offer hybrid/remote/flex schedules. It has nothing to do with being lazy or unmotivated and everything to do with having a work/life balance that makes working worth it.

yes, yes, and YES!!! 💙Don't get me wrong. I do want to come to office but not forcefully be there and get WORK POLICING, it's super unproductive and inefficient. I sometimes do want to focus and want more comfortable working environment (eg.having my cats on my lap 🐱). It helps me to be more productive and efficient. Give your employees more TRUST and they will surely give better results! Everyone has their own way of working and should be responsible for what they do. We are all professional anyway, right? (But if their result came out vice versa then that's another story... ) #WFH #FlexibleWork #RemoteWork #Trust

Oh, this! Companies that foster hybrid work models show understanding and confidence in their teams to work effectively on their own terms. This kind of support helps create a smarter, more confident workforce. Employees are ready to take on challenges with refreshed vigor, knowing that their work-life balance matters as much to the company as it does to them. This not only fosters goodwill but also nurtures loyalty among employees who will be motivated by more than just their paychecks—they're more likely to be genuinely invested in the success of their company.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, the people given the hybrid work schedule were happier with their arrangement than were those who had to come to the office full-time. There was also less turnover among people on the hybrid work schedule than those working full-time. These results were stronger for people with long commutes (more than 90 minutes each way) than for people with short commutes. The researchers also tracked productivity and promotions for these employees. Based on regular performance reviews, employees were equally productive, regardless of whether they worked in the office full-time or had a hybrid schedule. In addition, there was no impact of work schedule on people’s likelihood of getting promoted over a two-year period.

Better Work-Life Integration: Remote work blurs the boundaries between work and personal life in a positive way. Employees can take short breaks to attend to personal matters without feeling guilty, and they can also attend to work tasks during non-traditional hours if it aligns better with their energy levels and family commitments.#meridianremoteteams #teammate #worklifebalance #remotework #personallife #worklifeintegration
